I added a pair of glasses from a 1963 Look magazine and a skate from a discarded fish identification book. After auditioning a bunch of backgrounds I decided on this image from a 1970s flower book.. It's going to be sixty degrees today! Maybe it's a good day to unwrap this bundle that has been sitting outside for 3 months... It was an old book that I had removed the covers. My little friend and I stuffed it with his drawings, leaves and dirt. I wrapped the book around a baked beans can, sprayed it with some walnut ink and a green craft spray, tied it up with veggie Velcro and left it out in the elements. Mandy's big adventure! I got to go to the dump today!😜 After 5 weeks of my people telling me that there was nothing good in the book barn, I finally made it there myself...Yes, that's 2 copies of "A World of Movies". My experimenting today started with using cheap craft paint to glue down layers of leftover pieces of book pages. Then I peeled up the pieces that weren't stuck down by much. Next I pulled out the sandpaper and distressed it some more. I will definitely do more of this!!!😍 .
